May 3, 2021 - On 7 April 2021 a couple of executive-level changes were made to companies within the Nutec Group. We can announce that Daniel Llaguno, previously CEO of Nutec Bickley, moved on that date to take control of Nutec (Ceramic Fiber Division), while Gilberto Walls, formerly CEO of Nutec Fiber Division, now heads up Nutec Bickley.
“On February 18, 2021, Grupo Nutec registered 46 years of existence; in this time, it has seen nine Mexican presidents, five currency devaluations (Mexican peso), two generations and a global pandemic. From my more than 35 years of belonging to this family, I realize that the key to success is our ability to rapidly adapt to change. We have operations in four countries and we sell products in more than 50 nations. We are recognized as a world-class company that serves its clients in a very personal way, and we solve their problems efficiently,” said Genaro Cueva, Chairman of Grupo Nutec.
“In order to continue adapting to the circumstances, the board and I have decided to make a change in our senior divisional management," he explained. A little later, in the same statement, Genaro announced that, as of April 7 of this year, the CEO responsibilities of the two divisions would be switched over. “Between Daniel and Gilberto these CEOs have more than 40 years of working in the group, and I am sure that this move will be highly beneficial for the company,” added Genaro.
When announcing the news of these moves through their official statement, the two directors were enthusiastic about the message they prepared for employees and collaborators who are part of the Group.
“Adapting to the environment is one of the strengths that we have most keenly developed at Grupo Nutec, and right now we have to make use of this ability to deal with the challenges that face us today. I have no doubt that this change will lead to new opportunities to carry on growing, and I am sure that Daniel will continue to support the growth efforts that are being made today in the Ceramic Fiber Division. Meanwhile, personally, I am very excited to be able to participate in the Culture and Organization change initiatives that are underway at Nutec Bickley. Meanwhile, Daniel Llaguno commented: “The ability to adapt and a Culture of constant change at Grupo Nutec has been and will continue to be one of our strengths.
