Asian cement plant doubles lining lifetime in burner pipe with HASLE D59A

May27, 2021 - In 2012, a cement plant in Asia, using coal and up to 20-25% alternative fuel, was having problems with short lifetime in their burner pipe (BP). The cement plant has a production capacity of 8.000 TPD. Prior to 2012, they had been using other 60% Alumina castable on their BP but were unable to achieve a lifetime of more than 4-6 months.

After analysis, HASLE recommended using HASLE D59A for their BP, as it can significantly improve the BP lifetime. HASLE D59A has high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to impact and alkaline corrosion at high temperatures.
 

After the installation, supervised by experienced HASLE technicians, the lining lifetime on the BP was significantly improved. An impressive 12-month lifetime with no repairs was achieved. With HASLE D59A, the cement plant has improved their overall run factor by reducing down-time necessary for repairs and also saved on costs of materials needed for more frequent relining. A full 12-month campaign with no replacement or repairs of the BP is now standard in this plant.
