HASLE provided HASLE D52A ht for a cement plant in South India

Jun. 3, 2021 - In December 2019, a cement plant in South India with a production capacity of 4500 TPD, using coal as fuel, had problems with the life of their Burner Pipe. The BP lined with a castable from a local supplier was unable to achieve more than 2-3 months of life. When they started using RDFs along with coal, the lifetime of the BP got even shorter.

After on-site analysis by experienced HASLE engineers, HASLE suggested using HASLE D52A ht for their BP. This well-known LCC has high mechanical strength and excellent abrasion resistance and is known to secure a long lining lifetime. HASLE's engineers supervised the installation to ensure the best installation and preheating of the BP.

Using HASLE D52A ht, the lining lifetime has reached +7-month! Pleased with this performance, the cement plant re-installed HASLE D52A ht for their BP again this past March.

The cement plant has now reduced down time, and therefore reduced production loss when changing the BP. They also have reduced maintenance costs in terms of less manhours and materials needed. All in all, D52A ht have increased the plants profitability, and possibly reduced their overall carbon footprint by enabling them to increase the use RDF.
