Imerys participates in two exhibitions in China

Jun. 10, 2021 - In May, Imerys teams participated in both the Shanghai International Advanced Ceramics Exhibition and the International Refractory and Industrial Ceramics Exhibition and conference. Imerys presented the products in Advanced Ceramics, Investment Casting and Refractory applications. 

- Advanced Ceramic applications use synthetic materials and serve markets like industry, mobility, energy and electronics. Unlike classic ceramics used in tableware, they are used to produce energy converters, filtration systems or functional coatings due to specific properties such as corrosion resistance.

- Investment casting is an industrial casting process based on ceramic mold production. The ceramic molds are called “shells“ and are widely used to produce high value casting parts for many industries like automotive, aerospace, industrial gas turbine, medical and many other industrial manufacturing sectors.

- Refractory gathers materials that are used to produce furnaces lining, kilns and incinerators for various industries as steel, glass, aluminium thanks to extreme resistance to heat, pressure and chemicals.
