Xintiangang Steel Group plans to build two 1780m³ blast furnaces

Jul. 14, 2021 - The Tianjin Bureau of Industry and Information Technology issued the capacity replacement plan of Xintiangang Steel Group. The company plans to build two 1,780 m³ blast furnaces, with a total annual iron making capacity of 3.04 million mt.

One of them should be commissioned in March 2022, while the construction of the other should begin in March 2022, and it will be put into production in November 2022. In 2020, the company demolished an old blast furnace with a volume of 505 cubic meters. m, and 4 more blast furnaces with a volume of 700 cubic meters each will be dismantled according to the plan in 2022.
