Jul. 31, 2021 - Sichuan Local Metallurgical Holding Group successfully integrated 8 short-process steelmaking enterprises in the province. Previously, the short-process steel mills in Sichuan operated independently with small production capacity.

However, after reorganization, the related steelmaking scale can reach 10.49 million tons, crude steel production will be up to 20 million tons, and the group's extended steel industry chain economy will reach more than RMB 200 billion.

In addition, Sichuan Province is the largest hydroelectric power generation base in China, which is the most suitable for short-process steel plants with electricity as the main production cost, leading the development of electric furnace mills.
