JSW Steel lights up second blast furnace at Dolvi

Oct. 10, 2021 - JSW Steel, a leading steel manufacturer in India, has launched the second blast furnace at its Dolvi works in Maharashtra.

With the commissioning of the new blast furnace, JSW Steel has completed the expansion of crude steel production capacity at Dolvi works from 5 million tons per year to 10 million tons per year.

Apart from a 4 million tons/year pellet plant, this expansion includes a blast furnace with an annual production capacity of 4.5 million tons, a steel melting shop with an annual capacity of 5 million tons, and a hot-rolled strip mill with a capacity of 5 million tons per year.

JSW Steel is currently undergoing large-scale capacity expansion.
