Chiping Haoxin Industry increases WFA production

Jan. 13, 2021 - China’s largest producer of white fused alumina, Shandong Chiping Haoxin Industry Company just resumed 13 furnaces on January 7, and is expected to produce about 10,000 tons of WFA in January. In December, the company’s WFA output is about 5,500 tons.

"Due to a short supply of power, we only ran 7 furnaces in the past week. Now we have resumed 13 other furnaces and expect an output of 10,000 tons this month, while last month we only produced about 5,500 tons due to environmental protection controls," a source from the company said, adding that they do not have inventory at the moment, but there are still about 2,000 tons of orders pending for delivery. Therefore, they intend to hold the prices firm to test the market.

The company has 23 furnaces with an annual capacity of 250,000 tons of white fused alumina. They produced about 85,000 tons of WFA in 2020, while 105,000 tons in 2019.
